The town of Bull Shoals, was created about 50 years ago. We are located in north central Arkansas, about 15 miles south of the Arkansas-Missouri state line. Bull Shoals is mostly a retirement and vacation area. The population is approximately 2,000 with an economy based on the tourism. Bull Shoals is bordered by a clear, deep, manmade lake of the same name, Bull Shoals Lake. Bull Shoals sees thousands of visitors every year and some choose to
stay here. ( The population has increased 27.5 percent since the 1990
census, to an estimated 1,956 currently). Many of the people who are not retired work in the tourism industry. Some of our attractions include Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock, Rivercliff Golf Course, Mountain Village 1890, Bull Shoals Caverns, Top O' the Ozarks Tower, and numerous resorts and restaurants. |
