| Bull Shoals Dam Bull Shoals Dam is located on the White River. Construction
initiated in June of 1947 and was completed in July of 1951, with commercial
power generation commencing in 1952, making it the 5th largest concrete
dam in the nation at that time. Local resorts, marinas, and trout docks can provide everything you need for skiing, scuba diving, boat rentals, and guided fishing trips. Bull Shoals has yielded five state records from all five major bass species. As an added bonus, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission stocks this lake with 135,000 Rainbow trout each year, making this lake truly unique. The Corps of Engineers manages seventeen parks around the lake. Most of these parks feature picnic tables, grills, pavilions, electricity, campgrounds, and boat ramps. |
